After work I went to meet a friend of mine who is also a biker. He was going to show me some of the most common roads where people go to get some nice curves and tricky driving here around. We started out at the fuel station in Västberga and headed of towards Värmdö. Unfortunately we got stuck in a really big traffic jam.
We got out of the traffic jam and moved on to Rindö and from there to Vaxholm. On the way there we had some nice driving to the first car ferry. Oh, that was a new one for me! Asked my friend for instructions, what to be aware of on the ferry. He told me to get into the front before the cars to the Bike-places, keep first gear in and when the ferry stops, keep both feet on the ground and hold the front breaks in case of the ferry bumps into the landing-stage. Guess which one of the bikers on the ferry was really focused when we got to the landing-stage at the other side of the water.We used the ferries like 4 times during the trip.
We stoped in Vaxholm for something to eat and to have some water, it was very sunny today and I probably didn't drink enough of that. After that we headed towards "Bogan" or "Bogesundsvägen" where everybody drives their bikes all the time. We also stoped at one place to just get the thoughts together and reflect over the danger in driving two wheels and pushing the limits and margins of safety when driving. At this place a person that a lot of bikers knew well had an accident recently and he ended up in a tree. His friends have put out candels and flowers and things there and you just cant pass all this without thinking of what can happend. Sad and scarry of course.
We went the same way home as we came to avoid the motor way as much as possible and get some more tricky driving instead. It was getting late and we decided maybe we go to "Slingerbulten" next time so I can find my way there too, and stop for a coffee at Rosenhill then.
